I love that Taluswood is right off of Avondale, being close to bus lines that take you right onto 520 into Bellevue or Seattle. Taluswood is also close to PCC, one of my favorite places to buy groceries and take cooking classes, which have allowed me to learn how to eat much healtier!
Taluswood does have a great location, as well as many other fantastic features. One being the neighborhood's quiet and calm. People might think the noise from traffic on Avondale would be a concern, however the homes are quite soundproof. I never hear any traffic noise (other than passing police or fire sirens) and I rarely hear my neighbors. I have never had any problem with the little noise there is. However, people are quite nice, and I would not be worried about asking my neighbors to keep it down. Another great feature are the "restricted common areas" or back yards. Each home seems to have a small piece of yard where (for the most part) owners can plant what they'd like. I have a small herb garden. The best part is that the landscaping crew keeps these areas maintained as well as with common areas. Lastly, my favorite part of my Taluswood townhome is the architectural detail inside the homes. Doorways without doors are arched, and the gas fireplaces curve into the bulkhead (the most prominent feature when you first enter the homes). They're small touches that make these homes stand out from others. All in all, I love Taluswood and plan to live here for years to come!
